Back of the class

I hate to sound discouraged already, but I feel stuck.  Everyone makes this stuff sound so easy.  I have accomplished a few things today.

-I registered a domain name
-Started reading Alex's Post Launch Profits

Still need to do:

-get web hosting
-either transfer this blog over there or, if that's not possible, get a new one up

I've been looking at the web hosting and I'm in information overload.  I know everyone recommends Host Gator.  But I don't know what options I need, so I don't know what package to pick!

Geez, what ever happened to user friendly?

If anyone has any suggestions, please post them in the comments.

Til next time,
Kyra

  1. Hi Kyra,
I'm using HostGator as well. I think that what everyone recommends should be no problem. I haven't tried any other hosting before, but I feel that Hostgator is pretty user friendly. You can try their demo at the order page and get some feel there.

    Hope that helps :)

  2. Hi Kyra,

Drop me an email via my blog at AddIncomeOnline.com and I'll hopefully show you how to get your hosting for at least 50% off... even at HostGator etc.

    Best regards,

    Graeme

  3. Hi there all you nice people,
I so appreciate your comments. I was literally just about to go and just purchase anything, just to DO it. And if it was wrong, oh well. Thank you for taking this journey with me. It's a good feeling to know that I'm not the only one who doesn't know everything yet :D

I keep reminding myself to just take baby steps!

  4. Hi Kyra,

I just want to tell you that I seem to be in the same position you're in... actually mine is worst...I'm completely lost on where to start. Before I take baby steps I think I need to start by crawling. I will need all the help I can get.
I just want to congratulate you on your new beginnings.

  5. Hi Kyra,

Glad you really liked my blog and thanks for contributing.

You know one really good thing about blogs is it forces you to keep focused and making progress by recording what you are doing. So keep it up.

I'm not an expert at hosting but all I did was get the cheapest hosting option as that gets you started and you can always add things later if need be.

I've just added my longest post ever to my site. I had to respond to a series of emails I was getting which were quite revealing in how people view things.

  7. Hi Garry, thanks for the advice about the hosting. If I have time on this crazily busy day I plan on setting up my hosting. I'll check out your newest post too.

Harry, I agree, the beginning is the hardest, but it will get easier. I'm actually glad there are people like you at the same stage as me. It really gives me encouragement which then allows me to encourage others (and that's just a great feeling).

Happy Thanksgiving for those of you in the U.S.

  8. hey Kyra,

we'll i have to admit i was ALWAYS at the back of the class in school and never made much progress (i didn't want to) - just being honest,

but as i started to attend intenet seminars around the world you would see me sat at the front writting every single thing down i could.

and YES i soon found myself in INFORMATION OVERLOAD ville .... and was kinda lost,

but i took advise from people who had proven track records and made sure the services i used had a great support system,

with regards to hostgator - they may have been off support this week due to it being thanks giving ? (maybe not)

but i have recommended them for years and have never had any bad feedback,

anyway it seems the other students have been me to it here ... but id still like to say a BIG well done ,,,,, im really excited for you and we'll catch up soon

    to your success

It WILL GET EASIER....remember we are all here to support you.

Drop over to my site and ask any questions you have and if I can I will answer them directly...If I can't there's a great network that has formed, so I am sure I will be able to help you find the right person to answer your questions.

On my site you will find a Post Heading "Student Support Services" leave your questions here and I will be sure to get back to you.

Congratulations on your decision to become an author....I am a ghost writer myself and I must admit, I am at my happiest when I am writing...

    In line with this......

To benefit all students in Alex Jeffrey’s Marketing with You Coaching Course, it is essential to find a suitable target market, so that my e-book can be written appropriately to gain maximum exposure for Students in the Alex Jeffrey’s Class of 2008 – The Rat Pack.

Can you please visit my site and respond to my Poll Questions. I really need your help!!

I am seeing so much valuable content as I visit sites like yours, that now I am asking directly what is it that the students of Alex Jeffrey’s Coaching Course would like to see in this viral e-book of mine.

    Thanks

  11. Hi Kyra,

    How are you getting on?

I have, over the last few days started from scratch with a new domain and a new site.

I had so many problems (of my own doing) with the first one. Still, I am sort of up and running now.

    Happy New Year to you.
